by old_age
hey all
last nite during our scrim one of the guys needed to up his hunk megs with out having to edit his config file the hard way, there is a list of consol commands to make these changes, unfortunately i have misplaced my copy that has them all listed with the effects they have.
if any one knows any of the others or has a copy of this list please post them here so we can all have a good place to find them in a pinch. below are a couple that i could remember or someone else told me about.

good hunting to all, except when hunting me , then best look behind you cause that's where i'll be
And remember, you can edit the various uoconfig_mp.cfg files or in-game. If your hunkmegs is too low for a map, your only choice is edit the main uoconfig_mp.cfg file and the one in the DUI_MW1 folder while outside of the game . Lastly, if you have the default install where your Call of Duty folder in in Program Files (x86), you will have to save the file to desktop then delete the one in the folder and then copy it back to that location.
We should probably build a set of pre-built uoconfig_mp.cfg files with the correct settings and let people grab the correct one based on their display resolution. The they would just have to enter their player name when the game boots.

Some more console commands: (1= turns function on 0= turns function off)
cg_lagometer 1 (turns lagometer on .0 would turn it off)
The lagometer is a box that shows the connection lag display the top part (blue) is your end graphics. The bottom part (green) is your ping to the server. If you notice yellow it means low to moderate connection issues.
If you notice red major connection issue......like packet lost. Also keep an eye on the size of the waves the higher they are the more of a ping/connection issue. The ideal display will be low fast waves on both sides.
cg_drawfps 1 (turns frame rate on, 0 would turn it off there is a 2 option that does more detail never tried it tho)
The drawfps will draw your fps rate in the top right of your screen........ basically you will be able to see your ingame frames per second rate.
/connect
/connect allows you to manual connect to servers just type in the ip and port if it's not the default 28960 if it's default no need to enter the port number.
/record
/record starts up a demo recording (This is the preferred way that we need people recorded )
/record whatever (you can replace whatever with the name you would like the file saved as)
That above would start up a demo with a name whatever.
Recordings are useful for admins in catching cheaters or other issues.
If you don't specifiy a name after record, one will be made up for you.
You can tell that it's recording down in the left hand corner you will see "Demo0001 25K" and the size increase as it's recording.
/stoprecord
stoprecord Stops the recording.
/demo <name>
Plays the demo but make sure you have the mod loaded and the map for the demo installed or it won't play. I basically play the demo from the main menu by loading the mod and typing demo and it's name.
/kill
This will kill you in the game ........useful if your stuck or some place you shouldn't be
/tell_target <message>
This is a good command to use as a bind this tells the person that your aiming at a message. I have this bind as x (see below for both command issues)
/bind x <command> (x= key you want assigned to the command you want played)
bind x tell_target Watchout enemy seen near you (pm2u)
Everytime I hit x while looking at a person the person gets a message in yellow watchout enemy seen near you (pm2u) the message gets sent only to that person. It's a good way to tell people things without letting the enemy know they were spotted or a nice way to taunt someone before you bash them. You can also bind scripts name changes and things bind x exec ha.cfg would execute a script you created named ha.cfg every time you hit x.
/bindlist
Will display a list of all your key binds
/cmdlist
displays a list of all available commands
I will probably post more later.
